Loch Roan

Situated 5 miles from the market town of Castle Douglas the 42 acre loch is set in secluded hills above the village of crossmichael. Surrounded by woodland the crystal clear loch is stocked throughout the season with hard fighting Rainbow Trout around the 2lbs mark with larger overwintered fish common as the new season starts. There is also resident Brown trout of various sizes gracefully caught throughout the season.

Fishing is fly only from one of the four boats on the loch and booking a boat is done through McCowans shop in castle douglas
